Requirement
New build project for a care home for the blind. We were asked to provide a coating for the entire handrails throughout the building and the garden. Clearly this was a key critical component with a high profile within this multi million pound project
Solution
An extremely tough and durable finish. Often used on Bus/rail handrails. It is a plastic coating and is excellent for balustrades and all types of harsh environments.

Within current Disabled Persons access regulations currently in the building regulations handrails are often specified as having a requirement to be  ’warm to touch’ and ‘non slip’. Nylon meets this request.
Logistics
Based in Nottingham our customer required us to collect the handrails and coat in our factory and once complete return to site. This was handled internally using our own transport fleet.
Our challenge
Cost was not the driver on this project what was necessary was for us to demonstrate that the end product would not only comply with the relevant legislation but also provide the required durability. Having met this challenge the project was completed with minimum fuss to the main contactor on site within his own call off programme.
